Rue Howard felt her desire to become a hair stylist at an early age growing up in Rockford,IL she was always experimenting with her own style. Immediately after graduating high school she began her formal training at The Aveda Institute in Minneapolis where she graduated with honors. After graduation she began her career at Art+Science completing their apprentice program and working as a cutting specialist. Rue has over fifteen years of experience working in top salons in Chicago and Rockford. Her love of fashion and shopping inspired her to take a part-time job at one of her favorite destinations, Anthropologie, which quickly turned into a full-time management position. Now she is excited to combine her hair cutting skills with her personal styling knowledge to create hair styles that accentuate her clients unique personalities and lifestyles.
In her spare time Rue enjoys being with her friends and family She really enjoys attending concerts and looks forward to the summer when she can go to outdoor music festivals. Although not much of a cook, Rue does enjoy trying new restaurants and loves a good burger or martini. In the future she is looking forward to traveling more and adding more stamps to her passport which already includes, London, Paris, Rome, and Barcelona.
