KATIE BAILEY - Stylist
info@beautyandbalancesalon.com
Katie comes to Beauty and Balance with over 8 years of experience. After
receiving her B.A. in English from the University of Iowa, Katie's
passion for hair brought her back to Illinois where she attended and
graduated from Pivot Point International. Her career began as an
assistant in Evanston, Illinois with Art + Science Salon, where she
furthered her training for another year and a half. While Katie worked
her way up to become a Director Stylist with the salon she also became
part of the educational program, training incoming assistants as well as
helping re-write the cutting curriculum. During her career at Art +
Science, Katie had extensive training with the men's grooming line,
American Crew as well as M.O.P., also known as Modern Organic Products.
Katie's favorite "hair moment" was when she was chosen to travel to
Majorca, Spain and attend an international hair show. When Katie is not
cutting hair, she secretly loves watching NASCAR racing, spending time
with her new husband and attending to her flower boxes (not everyone can
have a green thumb). [top]

Jessic Kuehn -
Colorist
Jessica comes to Beauty and Balance with over six
years of experience as a colorist. While attending college at
Arizona State University pursuing her degree in chemistry, she was
working part-time in a salon as a receptionist. It was there that
the creativity, interaction with clients, and the chemistry of
mixing formulas drew her interest to the salon industry. Soon after,
Jessica attended Pivot Point. She then began her career at Elizabeth
Arden and Art & Science Salons before joining the Beauty and Balance
team.
When Jessica is not working as a colorist, she is at home chasing
after her daughter (The work never stops!). Besides loving the time
she spends with her daughter, she also enjoys quality time with her
husband, family, and friends.
